Mr. Gynn possesses sound perspective on residential, resort, multifamily, commercial, hospitality, and mixed use real estate projects, as well as the challenges created by changing market dynamics.
The foundation for his experience was established after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh when Mr. Gynn joined a strategy consulting firm that targeted Fortune 500 clients, some of which were active in real estate development.
Recruited by Headen & Company, a Southeast real estate client, as Director of Operations, Mr. Gynn relocated to Charlotte, N.C. where he grew into his role as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. The organization syndicated equity through private placement which was applied to ground up development of apartments, and condominiums. The organization was vertically integrated to include, development, general contracting, marketing, sales, leasing and property operations. A homebuilding division was later formed as a joint venture with a prominent national housing leader. In 1981, Mr. Gynn returned to consulting by accepting the position as managing partner with Barton Sans International, a highly regarded New York based real estate consulting practice who earned distinction by servicing an extensive list of prominent North American real estate clients. In 1985, Mr. Gynn relocated to Tampa where he launched Gynn Associates, Inc. and The Walter Gynn Corporation. The real estate consulting practice concentrates on real estate development, marketing, sales and operations within homebuilding, community development, multifamily, condominium, office, retail and resorts. Mr. Gynn and his team offer a wide array of management advisory services inclusive of organization development, team building, corporate and project strategy, project acquisition/development, and joint venture facilitation. Mr. Gynn is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Business School. Several of his accomplishments are recognized in Who’s Who in the East and the International Who’s Who of Entrepreneurs. |
